Tips to Help New Photographers Book more Weddings

Submitted by SimplyBridal [caption id="attachment_3518" align="alignleft" width="200"]Veil Andi Mans Photography Image by Andi Mans Photography[/caption] Wedding season is here, so that means that wedding photographers should be swamped with many opportunities to use their craft. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. Some wedding photographers may be new to the scene or have begun to notice a lag in their wedding bookings. If this sounds like you, we are here to show you how quick and easy you can find yourself swamped with wedding bookings, even in the off season.

Update Your Website

You can’t deny that the digital age is upon us and one sure way to kill your wedding bookings before they begin is by not having a website or having an outdated website. Photographs are a visual medium, therefore wedding photographers need to optimize their photographs for the best resolution and only select the best pictures. However, good photos are only half the story. Your website should have recent photographs, have some SEO built in and be very easy to navigate. Otherwise you may end up sabotaging your success before it begins.

Wedding-Invitation-Template-Water-ColorBridal Trade Shows

We are BIG believers in bridal trade shows. Just think about all of the soon-to-be brides with stars in their eyes just eager to plan their wedding and get ideas. If you have the money, rent a small booth and set out some brochures and engage your prospective customers. Trade shows are filled to the brim with your exact target market. You can rest assured knowing that you will leave the show with dozens, if not a hundred, leads.

Stay Up-to-Date on the Latest Photography Trends

Wedding trends come and go, but if you don’t stay up to date on what’s in, you may lose bridal customers to the next hottest thing. Now, we aren’t saying that you should ditch your photography style, but try to highlight a few photographs that demonstrate that you are up to date on the latest bridal photography trends and how you can help them achieve that look.

Be Well-Equipped with Accessories

You already have all the technology you need for the shoot, but so does your competition. Want to offer that little something more and set yourself apart? Why not host giveaways for your clients and save them the hassle of bringing their own accessories? Have a well-stocked range of veils, jewelry and headpieces ready for your customers, and give your business that winning edge when it comes to choice.   pink_Divider
